The Journal News: 7 Restaurants Serving 7 Fishes

“Port Chester’s Tarry Lodge offers a pragmatic yet festive Vigil antidote to tasting-menu fatigue.

‘Celebrate the Feast of Seven Fishes and fulfill your Christmas Eve tradition with our classic Zuppa di Pesce ($29),’ suggests executive chef Andy Nusser.

The hearty stew contains seven fish in a single dish: Branzino sauteed in olive oil until golden and crispy is perched on a bed of clams, mussels, scallops, and calamari that has been steamed with garlic, white wine and tomatoes. The dish is then topped with toast smeared with house-made tuna aioli and freshly grated bottarga. One and done! Reservations will be taken throughout the evening.”
